For outdoor recreationalists, Loveland boasts 5,000 acres of open space, 17 miles of trails, 32 parks and easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park, located less than an hour away. In and around the city, residents can enjoy many recreational lakes and reservoirs, golf courses, Devil’s Backbone Open Space and fly-fishing or kayaking on the Big Thompson and Poudre

For art lovers, Loveland is home to art galleries, bronze foundries, theaters, an internationally renowned museum and the unique 10-acre Benson Sculpture Garden with 150 permanent sculptures. Visitors can stroll along paths among manicured gardens and a collection that has been recognized as one of the world’s most important contemporary art sites and one of the 20 “must-see” contemporary art sites in the U.S.

Sports

Sports fans and enthusiasts will find that Loveland offers an array of options when it comes to enjoying sports. Home to the Colorado Eagles, fans can visit the Budweiser Even Center and watch an incredible hockey match. All year round many more sports events take place; whether you prefer Motocross, Extreme Rodeo, or the Sparta Combat league, City of Loveland has something for every taste.

Practicing sports is a very important activity for our residents.  The City of Loveland seeks to offer quality spaces where everyone can exercise their favorite activity. Visit one of our batting cages, or spend a day in Loveland Sports Park where you and your family can enjoy inline hockey, basketball courts, soccer fields, or the skate park.  Loveland is proud to offer amenities to accommodate any sports preference.
