It Pays to Shop Small in Loveland This Summer
Small Business, Big Summer promotion rewards shoppers for supporting small local businesses
LOVELAND, Colo. – June 25, 2024 – It’s the summer of the small business in Loveland, and shopping small can really pay off. The City of Loveland Economic Development and The Loveland Chamber of Commerce have partnered to create the Small Business, Big Summer promotion to celebrate the local small business community. The promotion runs from July 1 – Sept. 6, 2024, and rewards shoppers for using their purchasing power to support the smaller shops in Loveland.
“Small businesses are the heart and soul of our community and 89% of Loveland businesses are made up of employers that have under 20 employees,” said City of Loveland Interim Economic Development Director Marcie Willard. “They’re what make Loveland unique and add diversity and vitality to our city. We’re excited to celebrate the businesses and business owners who make Loveland a wonderful place to live and to visit.”
The Small Business, Big Summer promotion is designed to increase the visibility of small local businesses, helping attract new customers and, ultimately, increase sales.
“We hope to strengthen the connection among our community partners, and within the city’s small business community,” added Willard.
Local business owners who register for the promotion receive pre-designed marketing flyers identifying them as program participants. They’ll also be included in social media coverage during the campaign that highlights participating businesses and promotes shopping small.
“We’ll host weekly raffles at the Loveland Visitors Center to reward shoppers for purchasing from our small businesses,” said Willard.
Raffle winners will be selected randomly each Friday and prizes include everything from gift cards to gift baskets from Loveland’s small businesses. The promotion runs for ten weeks giving shoppers ten chances to win.
Entering the weekly raffle is simple. After shopping at a participating small business, participants can show proof of purchase receipts at the Loveland Visitors Center (5400 Stone Creek Circle in Loveland) for raffle entry. Shoppers also will receive a small token of appreciation for providing a verified shopping receipt. Weekly raffle winners will be contacted following each Friday drawing.
